From a Kansas farm to the Caribbean.

Sam and Janice March, fifty-somethings who own a farm in Kansas showed they had the right stuff online when they qualified on the same day for a million dollar cruise.

Each of them won separate entries on the same day, beating thousands of players in two different types of games to win seats on the PartyPoker Million V cruise March 19-26 to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands aboard the luxurious Holland America’s ms Westerdam.

Sam, 53, and Janice, 52, have been married for 34 years and raise cattle on their farm in the remote town of Columbus, Kansas. Janice qualified for a $55,000 tournament on the 9th January through PartyBingo.com after a string of wins in recent months made her top of a leaderboard of thousands.

Sam qualified on the same day for the $5-million poker event, the world’s largest limit Texas Hold’em tournament, after investing just $5! Both will receive packages, worth $13,500 each, for two people – so they will be taking other members of their family.

More remarkably, the Marsh’s accomplished the feat while sharing one computer at home between them.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to us before,” said Janice. “I can’t wait; it’s unreal. We went on a cruise around the Caribbean in 1996, but otherwise we haven’t ever been abroad and have never used our passports. My dream vacation was to take my family on a cruise.”

PartyPoker.com spokesman Warren Lush said: “This is the first time a couple have both qualified for an event on the same day and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming them aboard.”
