The online poker room Pokertropolis.com advised players this week that it would close with effect from September 1. Fortunately the owners, Horizon 20 Group out of Costa Rica appear to be carrying this exercise out in a professional manner, communicating with their players and advising them that support facilities would remain open until September 7.
Players were informed that all balances would be paid within 7 days, and the following contact numbers and addresses were given for any problems or enquiries:

Pokertropolis is owned by the Costa Rican based group Horizon 20 SA which was established as a primarily sportsbook oriented gambling venture in 2000. The sportsbooks in the group (see list below) all appeared to be up and running when InfoPowa checked, and as at going to press Horizon 20 had not responded to enquiries on why the poker site was being closed.
