Adding spice to this weekend’s Sunday Specials in online poker was the third series of Full Tilt’s Online Poker Series, and a fifty percent add-on by Party Poker to its already popular guarantee.

The Poker Stars Guaranteed Sunday Million continued to lead the field with a starting lineup of 6 786 players, all in the hunt for the lion’s share of the $1 357 000 prizepool – a winners paycheck of $191 365 and change. The money bubble extended over 1080 players, and the action was as usual intense before the final table was decided.

In the event a four way chop was agreed for the remaining prize money with $30 000 going to winner ‘W.Snipes’, giving the top dog a total prize of $164 357. Chasing him hard in the top four were second placed ‘Oregon’ who took home $65 871; ‘Killygonza’ who has started the tourney with a chip lead but collected a third placed check for $84 756, benefitting from the four-way, and ‘Jonnyboy’ at fourth spot with a profitable $94 890.

Event number 3 in the Full Tilt FTOPS – a $300+22 buy-in No Limit Hold’em – definitely added urgency to the regular Sunday night action and pulled in a starter field of 2 755 eager players competing for an impressive total prize pool of $826 500. First prize was calculated at $151 249.50, with 405 players in the cash line. ‘DontBluffMePLZZ’ emerged as the eventual winner following some hot action, leaving with $151 249 and some change after an intense contest with second finished Don Guzzo who earned $92 568.

Party Poker’s Sunday Guaranteed was boosted to the $300 000 level thanks to continuing demand, and even that figure was achieved and then some when 1 575 players signed up, of whom 200 eventually cashed. It was a Danish player using the handle ‘The Womanizer’ who dominated the final table and ultimately won, adding a tidy $63 000 to his treasure chest after some highly aggressive play with 7th placed ‘Sir_Rossi’ and the final heads up challenger ‘E-Dollars’ who took away $34 650 of them as his reward for second placing.

Bodog Poker reported another good turnout for its $100 000 Guaranteed, which proved irresistible to 954 players, of whom 81 made the money. The winner of the top $25 000 pprize was ‘Pesto’ who won the tussle with second placed SKEETnutzSKEET. The latter left with a good return on investment of $14 000.
