Young guns launch poker training site.

Some of the brightest ‘young gun’ Internet and land poker pros combined under Phil (Jman and OMGClayAiken) Galfond to launch a new poker training website branded Blue Fire Poker.com last month.

Galfond is the lead pro in an all star poker educational team that includes Niman (Samoleus) Kenkre, Jason (PBJaxx) Senti, Martin (Giggy) Giguere, Ryan Fees and Don (SoCalQuest) Nguyen.

Working to the mantra: “You may have come here hoping we’d teach you how to play poker, but we don’t want to. Let us teach you how to think about poker,” the team offers individual blogs, well written pro articles, forum activity and training vids through the subscription based website, with members paying $30 a month and an initial sign-up fee of just under $100.

Galfond and his partners can lay claim to considerable talent and experience, as a glance at the biogs on the site shows. Galfond himself has cashed six times at the World Series Of Poker (WSOP), and won last year’s $5 000 Pot-Limit Omaha with rebuys event at the WSOP to take home just over $817 700 (see previous report).
