Danish professional poker player, Gus Hansen (“The Great Dane”) has shown his appreciation for sport other than poker with a sponsorship of the Danish National Squash Team. Hansen is reportedly a big fan of the sport and other disciplines utilising a racket and a ball.
As the official sponsor of the team, the poker pro has made the team?s presence at the European Championships, to be held in Finland from 30 April to 4 May, a reality as the federation has been experiencing financial difficulties. Hansen will accompany the national team to Finland when they participate in the championships.
