The Microgaming Poker Network?s Bad Beat Jackpot has been hit following weeks of rapid growth that has culminated in six lucky players winning a total of Euro 439,289.83.
The Bad Beat Jackpot was hit Monday 19th March when a Nordic Bet player from Denmark, nicknamed Gaboork_jai, lost with Four of a Kind Aces to a Straight Flush. His terrible luck turned out to be something of a rainbow however, because he hit the Bad Beat Jackpot to score a take-home of Euro 219,645, while the other players at the table shared the remainder.
“First I was annoyed I lost the hand, but then I realised I had won the Bad Beat jackpot,” Gaboork_jai told Nordin Bet managers. “I?m still in shock. It sure is a lot of money!?
Gaboork_jai intends to spend at least some of the windfall on a trip to Las Vegas, something he has dreamed of doing for years.
A company spokesman said that the jackpot was the biggest Bad Beat won to date on the Microgaming Poker Network.
