Zen Gaming’s onlien poker days numbered at South Point?.

Michael Gaughan, the owner of the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is reputed to have made some harsh comments about Zen Gaming software recently that may suggest to that company that its future is uncertain.

Gaughan is known to be keenly interested in a US legal online poker business, so much so that he engaged Zen to provide a free-play online poker platform in preparation for any positive legalisation moves in Nevada or the United States generally.

The venture does not appear to have taken off, with Gaughan reportedly commenting that Zen’s product was “complicated and hard to load” although he admitted that the lacklustre project results were also due to his declining interest in the site following its slow growth.

Gaughan is presumably still looking at solutions, however; last week he was widely quoted as saying that his online poker could be operating as early as September this year, assuming Nevada licensing is achieved, and that he plans to apply for licenses in other states as and when these became available.
