High profile poker tournament professional Michael Mizrachi confirmed on Twitter this week that he has signed up to help promote the French-driven International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) project, set to debut at Wembley Stadium in the UK next May.

“I just want to announce I will be @ispt_poker official ambassador. Will be one of the biggest tournaments ever held May 31, 2013!” Mizrachi enthusiastically tweeted Tuesday.

The ISPT is the brainchild of Groupe Bernard Tapie’s Laurent Tapie and Prosper Masquelier, the former president of Partouche Interactive, and centres on massive poker tournaments in top international stadia using a combination of internet and live tournament technologies (see previous reports).

Fresh from his highly successful and rewarding World Series of Poker this year, where he claimed his second Poker Players Championship title in three years, Mizrachi is one of the highest profile professionals around and will undoubtedly add credibility to the enterprise.
