Pokerstars marketers have dreamed up another major online poker event, in which the winner will walk away with half a million dollars and impressive bragging rights.
Dubbed the Pokerstars All-Star Showdown and scheduled for October 27 to November 8, this new high-stakes online competition is expected to attract some of the top players in the world, each prepared to lay down a buy-in of $100,000.
The format is a heads-up single elimination tournament on the Pokerstars site, with matches played simultaneously over four heads-up tables.
Players already committed to the competition include nosebleed aces like Isaac Haxton, Phil Galfond, Alex Millar and Ben Sulsky.
