Poker pro Annie Duke has posted a statement on Facebook regarding the latest developments in the Ultimatebet hole card cheating scandal.
The publication of a tape said to be a recording of a discussion between lawyers and Ultimatebet executives mentions Annie Duke as regularly using “[God-mode software] on a 15 minute delay” – a statement she strongly denies.
The tapes, which were allegedly released onto the internet by former Hamilton associate Travis Makar, are said to date from 2008, and a summary was put up on Youtube recently (see previous report).
In her statement, Duke said “The release of this audio has spurred accusations and I want to make it clear that I have never used a tool on a delay or otherwise that gave me or anyone else access to hole cards for use during real money play nor was I aware that such a tool existed until the scandal broke.”
Duke’s statement is corroborated by John Vorhaus and Joanne Priam, tournament co-presenter and pro relations manager for Ultimatebet respectively.
