19-year old Spanish poker player Adrian Mateos took home Euro 1 million and the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event title after besting Frenchman Fabrice Soulier in a drawn out heads up.

163 hands and five hours later, Mateos became the second youngest bracelet winner in WSOPE history and the second Spaniard to take the bracelet.

Ironically, Mateos can only play the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas when he turns 21 but said: “With more money I can play more events, you will see me more. Next year I cannot go, but I will be there.”

Final table finished up:

1 Adrian Mateos Euro 1 000 000

2 Fabrice Soulier Euro 610 000

3 Dominik Nitsche Euro 400 000

4 Jerome Huge Euro 251 000

5 Ravi Raghavan Euro 176 000

6 Benny Spindler Euro 126 000
