First real-money online poker in California delayed.

The much publicised and controversial launch of the tribally inspired PrivateTable.com real-money poker enterprise – due for launch in California this week – has been delayed for at least another seven days.

Reporting on the delay, the online poker information site California Online Poker reveals that it contacted the Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel (the tribal group behind the project) and was told that the site would remain in free-play mode for another week for reasons that are not clear.

PrivateTable plans to offer real money Texas Hold’em and Omaha. Cash games, sit and gos and multi table tournaments have also been promised, along with online bingo at some future point.
