Yet another story on the supposedly imminent introduction of an online poker legalisation bill in Congress has surfaced following tweets from a U.S. publication titled The Helmsman, firing up hopes triggered last year when there was talk of Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Arizona Senator Jon Kyl collaborating on such a move.
The Helmsman quotes a lobbyist who was told whilst on a trip to Washington DC that Reid was planning to attach a legalisation bill to an important unemployment payroll tax bill scheduled to hit the Senate later this (February) month.
There does not appear to be any firm confirmation of Reid’s intentions; the Nevada politician has previously tried to push a similar bill through Congress without success.
