Poker ace in high stakes comeback.

Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene showed that you can’t keep a good poker player down as the week ended, fighting back from a $1.7 million loss in a single session earlier in the week against Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (see previous report) to recoup $1.5 million in another nosebleed engagement with the Swede.

Reporting on the comeback, the HighStakesDB records that Blom started the session up $200,000, but Tollerene staged a rapid comeback that evolved into a successful 150 minute session with Tollerene up $290,000.

The duo re-engaged in the heads up after a 90 minute break, and Tollerene once again hammered the Swede, this time for $525,000 in half-an-hour, playing on two virtual Full Tilt Poker tables.

The two aces parted for a longer break, returning to face each other nine hours later in what turned out to be a four-and-a-half hour session with plenty of action, with Blom initially taking a beating, then coming back strongly to surge ahead, only to fall badly in the final 600 hands and see a cool million slip away.

Tollerene’s final reckoning over the three sessions showed him in profit by slightly under $1.5 million – still out $200,000, but who knows what the next clash between these two will bring?
