The main event of the $2,700 buy-in Asia Pacific Poker Tour leg in the Philippines has been concluded with Aussie poker pro Khac Trung Tran claiming the $124,000 main prize after besting a 205-player field.
Four days after the action started, mid-stack man Khac faced a talented final table that included: Thang Truong, Sekiya Yosuke, Nam Le, Homad Houshiar, Anthony Gabitan, Miller Zhang, Tam Truong and Pakihal Lisawad.
Sekiya Yosuke’s elimination in third place for $48,700 left Thang Truong in the heads up with Khac, with the latter holding a commanding 2 to 1 chip advantage.
Thang was unable to get the better of his opponent and was eliminated just a few hands later for a second placing reward of $71,600.
