Season Six of the Latin American Poker Tour came to an end with the Brazil tournament this week, played at the Tivoli Hotel in Sao Paulo and resulting in a win and $255,400 in prize money for local player Victor Sbrissa – his biggest take-home yet in online and live competitions.

The $4,000 buy-in attracted a field of 750 hopefuls, which included top players like Leo Fernandez and Andre Akkari, and over several days was distilled down to a final table comprising Sbrissa and Daniel Murta, Rafael Pardo, Leonardo Brescia, Andre Akkari, Marcos Paulo Ximenes, Leo Fernandez and Thiago Grigoletti.

By the heads up stage Sbrissa held a clear chip advantage over his last opponent, Daniel Murta, and quickly leveraged that into a win celebrated loudly by his railbird supporters.

Murta’s runner up pay day was worth $166,684.
