Ultimate Poker benefits from the WSOP influx.

The arrival in Las Vegas of thousands of poker fans eager to compete in the 44th World Series of Poker has had a beneficial side effect for the newly launched Nevada-licensed online poker website Ultimate Poker.com, reports the independent internet poker monitor Pokerscout.

Last Friday Ultimate hosted a new high of over 550 players, boosting the poker operator’s seven-day average to a record 200 players and counting.

Pokerscout’s assessment of Ultimate player numbers as the WSOP tournament continues will be watched with interest, but at present it looks as if the WSOP influx of players into Nevada has improved Ultimate Poker traffic by around 33 percent.

In terms of its Nevada licence, Ultimate Poker.com can only accept action from players present in the state of Nevada.

Ironically. Ultimate is benefitting from the activities of WSOP owner Caesars Entertainment, which itself plans to launch a competing Nevada-licensed online poker site soon.
