Latest numbers from the independent online poker monitor PokerScout show that traffic to online poker sites globally continues to slide.
Looking at a year-on-year comparison this week, the monitor reports that there has been a 16 percent decline since July 2011, with the three majors in the sector – Pokerstars, iPoker Network and Party Poker down respectively 16, 35 and 50 percent.
Pokerstars predictably remains the market leader by a large margin, although by daring to take US business the new Revolution-Lock Poker network has seen traffic rise 48 percent.
Winamax bucked the downward trend and high French taxation by boosting traffic 9 percent y-on-y.
