888Poker marketers have a great new idea.

888Poker marketers have developed an ingenious new way of entertaining players whilst at the same time spreading brand and awareness across social media and other channels.

Titled Personalized Videos, the initiative builds on the penchant of most players for a little bragging about their poker prowess, usually via social media channels, Skype and poker forums

The project presents a player’s previous week’s action in an entertaining graphical format that draws information from 21 different statistics from both ring games and tournaments, building a picture of the players achievements over the seven days.

The vids are emailed to players so that they can be shared at will through the wide variety of social communications channels like Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

Whilst currently offered on a limited basis, a wider roll-out in diverse languages to the full 888Poker player base is planned

The company has made a sample available here:

The company’s eMagazine recently featured an article on the new initiative, explaining that Personalized Videos are constructed around the player “…including deep, personalised info like gender, nationality, profits, and playing patterns, to create a story that keeps evolving as long as the player stays active. Thus creating a long-term and meaningful connection between the brand and the players.”

Those players who have been given the opportunity to try this innovative product out (the pilot project involved around 10,000 players) are reportedly both impressed and pleased, illustrating its popularity by distributing their vids widely on social media channels.

Players are equally enthusiastic about their new personalized 888poker storyboard and have been sharing on social networks in big numbers. According to 888poker eMagazine, more than 1,000 out of 10,000 players that were in the initial pilot program chose to share their Personalized Video on social media.
