Aaron Lim, a 29-year-old poker pro from Australia has become the first APPT player to win two main events.

Playing in the APPT Manila this week, he bested a field of 584 other entrants to claim the lion’s share of the $558,000 prize pool, taking home the $131,780 first-place prize after beating Swedish pro Per Olsson in the heads-up.

The Aussie pro also received a HK$ 100,000 entry to the 2015 ACOP Main Event.

Lim’s previous APPT main event victory was in Seoul two years ago. He owns a WSOP bracelet and has amassed almost $2 million in career live tournament earnings.

Lim entered the heads up with a large lead and despite a creditable fightback, his last opponent was unable to gain enough traction to stop him.
