Aussie victory in Sydney poker championship.

Aussie pro Martin Kozlov demonstrated his talent and class this week in not only taking down, but totally dominating the A$3,000 buy-in NLHE 2014 Sydney Championship Main Event at The Star Casino in that city.

He not only bested a field of 234 other players, but singlehandedly demolished all but one of the nine players around the final table to claim the main prize of A$171,080.

Kozlov was on fire for much of the three day event, and entered final table action with a daunting chip advantage that helped him dismantle the opposition, comprising: Bernard Beh, Sam Capra, Andrew Yam, Daniel Neilson, Steve Pappas, Jarred Graham, Ismail Ismail and John Parker.

The heads up saw Bernard Beh putting up a solid fight, but he was simply overwhelmed by Koslov’s big stack and aggressive playing style, and had to be content with the runner up prize of A$108,570.

The win boosted Kozlov’s online career earnings to around $500,000…a third of what he has earned in online clashes.
