International poker aces were out in force for the $10,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. Championship event at the World Series of Poker, with top players like Daniel Negreanu, former Main Event champ Joe Hachem, Brandon Shack-Harris, Barry Greenstein, Scotty Nguyen, and Matt Glantz just a few of those with ambitions to plunder the $1.9 million prize pool generated by a field of 204.

Also competing on his ninth final WSOP table was Don Zewin, who has been playing at the World Series for the last three decades but is still hunting a bracelet.

The final table featured six bracelet holders, but it was California pro Andrew Barber who emerged to take on Russian star Viacheslav Zhukov, a formidable two-bracelet professional, in the heads up. By then Barber had victory in his sights and a serious chip advantage, which he maintained despite the best efforts of his Russian opponent.

Forty minutes later it was all over; Barber claimed his first WSOP bracelet and $517,776, whilst Zhukov was rewarded with a well-earned runner up check for $319,989.
