Big ideas from stacks poker.

The folks behind StackPokerOnline.com have been conducting an effective publicity campaign on their upcoming launch, using what they promise is revolutionary poker software technology as an attraction.

This week the companys PR person published an interview he had conducted with the companys CEO, Thomas Newton who started playing poker back in 1998 whjilst at college and became so interested in the game that he moved into the industry.

Newton claims he has developed a “revolutionary” form of 3D poker software that will give his Aruba-based company a market advantage once it is operational. “True 3D technologies allows us to create a more immersive experience for our customers. The market is large enough at this point that a good portion of players have hardware to support a more advanced interface and we chose to be the company to provide it,” Newton says.

The company uses “cutting edge rapid development strategies” to ensure that its product has the ability to rapidly evolve, claims Newton opining that this allows StacksPoker.com to “…create a significant advantage in a market where many operators do not have exclusive deals with their software providers, or own their own software. Controlling our own product and being able to create significant differentiators through technical innovation and design position StacksPoker.com for success,” he says.

StacksPoker’s competitive advantage lies in a fresh new software that brings in new features and an entirely new set of technologies to the online poker market.

“We have worked very hard to develop a product that lays the ground work for what will evolve into the ultimate online poker site, says Newton. “Stacks is being built as a franchise similar in nature to the great video game titles released by the major game development studios.”

It seems that the players’ wishes are a major priotity – they will have an opportunity to interact with the development team, and surveys will help the company to continually improve the product to meet player demand. “We very much want to be the “Players Site” and believe we are uniquely situated in the market to accomplish this. We control our own software and have developed that software to allow us to continue to improve and enhance the product faster than our competitors, and more quickly than customers in the market are used to,” promises Newton.

Giving an appetiser, Newton reveals that the new platform has eliminated the need for the “Tournament Lobby”. Both 2D and 3D table interfaces feature new tournament information tabs, which keep players instantly up to date with a full leader board, tournament statistics, and a real-time tournament clock.

The interview includes an amusing poker story told by Newton, who attended his first big online gambl, ing conference when he went to the 2005 GIGSE in Montreal earlier this year.

“Party Poker hosted the opening night reception, together with a large poker tournament which was free to enter for the various executives that attended. One of my partners and I entered the tournament in our bright orange StacksPoker.com shirts hoping to gain some attention.

“By the end of the night we had beaten the lot, taken home first and second place, and $7500 courtesy of Party Gaming. It was an all StacksPoker.com heads up finish,” says Newton.
