This week’s GBP 1,100 buy-in Sky Poker UK Poker Championship at the Dusk Til Dawn facility in Nottingham will go into the books as a success with 813 entrants, many probably attracted by DTD owner Rob Yong’s generous million pound guarantee boost to the prize pool.

Brit pro Fraser Bellamy from Sheffield ultimately took the honours and the GBP 200,000 main prize after surviving the large entry field and making it to the final table, where he faced Chris Vernon, David Lloyd, Matas Cimbolas, Tom Hall (chip leader), Farhaan Khan, Jamie Clossick, Jonathan Kalmar and Dewi James.

Bellamy held a solid 3 to 1 chip lead on Chris Vernon as the game entered the heads up stage, and he was able to keep a winning advantage for the brief duration of the final clash, sending Vernon home with a useful second placing prize of GBP 120,000.

David Lloyd finished third for GBP 80,000.
