Top Chinese high roller poker pro Quan Zhou (32) has claimed the winner’s spoils of US$469,090 in the Pokerstars HK$206,000 buy-in Single-Day High Roller in Macau, besting a star-studded field of 50 to do so. With twelve re-ups, the total field contributing to the prize pool numbered 62.

The action unfolded in the Pokerstars Live Poker room at the City of Dreams casino in a competition which attracted formidable international players such as Steve O’Dwyer, C Alvarado, Fedor Holz, Dario Sammartino, Mustapha Kanit, Fabian Quoss, Isaac Haxton, Martin Kozlov, Jack Salter, Rafael Moraes, David Peters, Mikita Badziakouski, Davidi Kitai and Dan Smith.

Most these aces failed to make the money.

The elimination of Jack Salter at third for US$ 218,766 set the scene for the heads up, with Zhou holding such a commanding lead over US pro Nick Petrangelo that the game was over in a single hand.

The American player left to collect his runner up prize of US$ 339,602, leaving Zhou and his supporters to celebrate a notable win.

Final table cashes also included:

Zuo Wang $128,050
David Peters $100,124
