Frenchman Pierre Malan has won his first World Series of Poker bracelet and $536,768 after surviving a tough and talented field of 1,164 other players to claim victory in event 29, a $2,500 buy-in NLHE contest that carried a prize pool of $2,650,375.
After 3 days of hectic action Malan entered the heads up with former WSOP 2013 NLHE four-handed bracelet winner Justin Oliver with a healthy lead that enabled him to dispatch his last opponent in just three hands, helped by victory in a huge pot.
Oliver’s second placing rewarded him with $332,198, whilst other final table take-homes were:
