The PartyPoker and Borgata online Garden State Super Series Poker returns for its second season in the regulated New Jersey online poker market this Sunday (January 11) with Six Max and Full Ring No Limit Hold’Em events.
Following player comments, steeper payout structures have been added to all events in the $1 million online tournament series, which runs through Sunday, January 25, 2015, taking place alongside the Borgata Winter Poker Open tournament series.
The two tournaments have a combined prize pool is over $7.7 million – the richest online-live experience of its kind in the United States, claims a PartyPoker spokesman.
The current iteration features 23 varied events at three different buy-in levels (69 in total) across
a range of tournament formats, and satellite qualifiers will be offered at buy-ins as low as 25 cents.
In addition, bounty and rebuy NLH tournaments are spread throughout the schedule, along with Deepstack, PLO, 7 Card Stud and Fixed Limit tournaments with three low, mid and high level buy-in options.
Other changes to this year’s schedule include:
* New Speed Down format for event 21. The tournament structure slows as it progresses;
* Main Event is now on the final day of the series rather than halfway through;
* Introduction of NLH Heads-Up events 15 to the schedule for the first time;
* Introduction of Super Bounty event 16 – 50 percent of prizepool goes on bounties and 50 percent to the prize pool.
