A great week for French online poker player.

The online high stakes poker tables at Full Tilt were good to French ace Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau in the first week of August, enabling him to emerge from a series of skirmishes with top nosebleed pros as the biggest earner with over a million dollars in profits.

Reporting on the period August 1 to 8, the High Stakes Data Base noted that Luneau was the top winner after besting tough high stakes opponents such as “Jungleman” Cates, Alex “PostFlopAction” Kostritsyn, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Gus Hansen (who continued to rack up monumental losses.)

The big winners over the week were:

The mysterious German player “Trueteller” – $777,686

Dan “jungleman12” Cates – $768,603

Mikael “punting-peddler” Thuritz – $472,972
