350 of the world’s finest poker players descend on Dublin this coming Easter weekend to try and get a seat at the final table of the Paddy Power Poker.com Irish Open 2006 Tournament.

And couch poker players won’t be left out of the action, which is being screened live across Europe on Sky Sports 2 at 9.30pm on Monday 17 April (Easter Monday).

The TV coverage is the first of its kind from Ireland and will be filmed before a select VIP audience at a top secret location in Dublin. At the death, 6 winning players will compete for their share of the Euro 1 million guaranteed (plus Euro 50 000 added by the sponsor) prize pool.

Over 10 000 tried to qualify online for a seat, together with thousands more in live satellite competitions in Ireland. Internet and satellite qualifiers will be joined by some of the biggest names in US and European poker for the final day.
