Troubled Lock Poker continues to struggle, according to a report this week on the respected poker information site PokerUpdate, which reveals that the once mighty online poker operator now enjoys a mere 28 players on its tables over a seven day average – down from 34.
The 18 percent decline in cash table action since October has been flagged by the independent online poker monitor Pokerscout.
“The latest decrease in player traffic follows a 15 percent decline last month that saw the average ring game traffic go from 40 to 34,” PokerUpdate reports. “Word is seemingly spreading to players to stay away from Lock Poker, yet the poker room continues to advertise promos such as a 200 percent up to $1,000 Welcome Bonus.”
Slow-pay complaints have dominated forum discussion on Lock Poker in recent months as the operator has steadily declined in popularity, with over 400 players impatiently demanding payment of monies due – said to total more than a million dollars – after waiting for months (see previous reports).
The situation became so bad that players resorted to lodging complaints with the Poker Players Alliance and banding together to generate a stronger voice.
The PPA has apparently made little headway, with its attempts to establish a dialogue with Lock on the issue largely ignored. As a result the Alliance has warned players that their money could be at risk if they deposit at Lock.
