Lock Poker, which has become notorious for slow pay-outs to players that can stretch to months, has failed to respond to a Poker Players Alliance enquiry sent to it last month (see previous reports).
The poker advocacy group says it therefore has no alternative but to warn players and advise affiliate marketers of the situation.
PPA spokesman Rich Muny said this week that until Lock Poker provides reasonable explanations and answers, the Alliance’s recommendation is that players “…educate themselves on the risks involved with Lock Poker and make prudent decisions accordingly.”
He also recommends that players who use Lock Poker keep accurate records in case they are needed at some future point.
Muny told the online poker information site PocketFives this week: “[Lock Poker’s] piecemeal payouts are of great concern, as this is a key identifier of Ponzi schemes. As the PPA has no way of knowing the current status of Lock Poker, it would be to Lock Poker’s benefit to set the record straight.”
