The organisers of the World Poker Tour have confirmed that the first two stops on Season 2 of the WPT Alpha8 series will be London and Las Vegas.

The Palm Beach Casino in London will be the host for the second time for the event, which carries a GBP 60,000 buy-in and will run from October 6 to 7 this year.

Towards the end of the year the event will move to Las Vegas and the Bellagio, with a buy-in of $100,000, and will be presented as part of the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic series.

WPT president Adam Pliska said in a statement this week:

“We are truly honoured to announce WPT Alpha8 London and WPT Alpha8 Las Vegas as our first events of WPT Alpha8 Season 2. Not only are we returning to one of the most prestigious locations in the world at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair, but we are also bringing WPT Alpha8 to the home of high-stakes poker at Bellagio in Las Vegas, where we are already expecting to draw one of the largest fields in WPT Alpha8 history.”
