Lucrative WCOOP High Roller poker event ends in three-way chop.

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) delivered more excitement and records this week when the NLHE 8-Max High Roller was decided after a tough head up battle featuring Phillip “Grindation” McAllister and Doug “WCG|Rider” Polk after the duo survived a starting field of 356 (278 entries, 78 re-entries) that created a massive prize pool of $3,560,000 for the $10,300 buy-in event.

Before reaching the heads up the duo had to negotiate a three-way chop with third-placed Finnish player €urop€an, a deal that left $71,200 on the table for the winner, and allocated $459,529.71 to €urop€an; $455,000 to Polk as runner up and $513,215.23 to the winner, McAllister.

The $71,200 left on the table gave McAllister a total first prize of $584,415.23 when he emerged the winner.

With his runner up prize of $455,000 Polk convincingly broke the existing record for biggest prize won whilst streaming action on Twitch – Euro 250,000 established recently by PokerStars player “SolidPenis”.
