Top US poker pro Vanessa Selbst has triumphed in the million dollar Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout, defeating actor Kevin Pollack to claim the winner-takes-all prize.
Selbst was one of five poker professionals ranged again five celebrities in five-max s&gs, with the winner of each match facing off in a best of three heads-up matches for the million dollar first prize.
Celebrity entrants were Pollack, Hank Azaria, Don Cheadle, Norm Macdonald and Brad Garrett, whilst Selbst was accompanied by Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.
Selbst’s live tournament career earnings were boosted by the latest win and are now almost $12 million. She has three WSOP winner’s bracelets, and was recently active with other high profile professionals on the Pokerstars awareness drive in California seeking to promote the legalisation of the online game in that state.
