Pokerstars packed ’em in last Sunday, reporting that its $11 buy-in Pokerstars Fourth Anniversary Sunday Storm attracted 104,939 registrations.
The event ended with a five-way chop which left “HesBluffingx” in first place with a return on his $11 investment of $64,000.
The online poker giant holds the all-time record for most players simultaneously in action online at 225,000; that was back in 2013 on a $1 buy-in competition that was audited by the Guinness Book of Records (see previous reports).
Other giant tournaments Pokerstars has held online include special 2011 Sunday Million in which 62,000 players entered, and a $1 buy-in competition the same year that saw 200,000 players online.
