Online poker operator Pokerstars has launched its latest online tournament series, an offering branded “Mountain Series” and comprising 10 events.
The tournament is scheduled for four days from April 7-10, and features more than $4 million in guaranteed prize money and progressive buy-ins that range from $11 to $2,100.
Each of the 10 tournaments is named after a famous mountain – from Sugarloaf (Brazil) to Everest (Nepal & China) – and the main event will be a $2,100 buy-in competition with a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1.5 million, for which the company is currently running satellites.
