Popular Belgian poker pro and World Series of Poker finalist this year, Kenny Hallaert, has been snapped up by online gambling group Unibet as its tournament director.
In a weekend tweet Hallaert declared: “Happy to announce that I will be the new Tournament Director for the @unibetopen, First event from 24/08 until 28/08 in Copenhagen.”
Hallaert will be the official in charge on 25 August this month when Unibet’s Euro 1,100 buy-in Unibet Open tournament kicks off at Casino Copenhagen in Denmark, an event for which satellites are already running.
The Belgian pro is sitting around the middle of the pack in terms of chip counts among this year’s November Niners, who get back down to the business of deciding who wins when they reconvene at the end of October.
