PartyPoker has signed a partnership agreement with the Professional Darts Corporation in the United States which will see the company become the official online poker room of the organisation’s US Darts Master’s chapter.
The deal includes involvement in the Road to Las Vegas Challenge tournament series scheduled for the Tropicana in Las Vegas mid-2017, in which 16 top players will compete
PartyPoker is no stranger to US darts, having sponsored the Professional Darts Corporation Las Vegas Desert Classic back in 2009.
The chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation, Barry Hearn, said this week that the US Masters was the “biggest thing” ever to happen to North American darts, revealing:
“The best players in the world are on the line and the cream of North American talent will fight it out for their chance to put their name down in history by toppling the giants.”
The darts partnership agreement is the latest in a series that has seen Party Poker align itself with various sports-oriented organisations as part of its marketing strategy.
In the Road to Las Vegas project the company will be running satellite online competitions leading to tournaments in which players can win packages to attend the Challenge and meet and greet world class darts professionals.
