The Poker Players Alliance received a stinging rejection at the end of March when the deadline for an appeal for an emergency donation of $25,000 to save the cash-strapped action group resulted in just $6,015 response from its claimed one million members.
The future of the organisation now appears to be at risk despite its high profile lobbying and campaigning efforts over the years to legalise online gambling, and especially online poker, in the United States.
