Getting in on the festive season spirit next (December) month, online poker operator Pokerstars has released details of its planned December Festival, with $27 million laid aside for guaranteed prize pools.
The Festival will take place over 22 days starting December 1 and will be rich in special tournament and ring-game promotions and content.
It will climax with three days starting December 20 that will offer a first-ever $10 million World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Challenge Series comprising 8 events with buy-ins from $109 up to a $2,100 main event, where a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million has been put in place.
Each WCOOP event during the festival will carry the additional opportunity to win a $5,200 seat at the 2014 WCOOP Main Event.
Other attractions during the Festival include Double Vision Sunday; $500,000 Golden Sit-n-Gos; Million Dollar Sundays; $500,000 December Mission Week; and $700,000 Milestone Hands.
