The long running saga that saw Absolute Poker and UltimateBet players victims of the Black Friday clamp down appears to be making some progress with a press statement from Garden City Group advising it will accept remission claims.

Joon H. Kim, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has retained the Garden City Group (GCG), who facilitated around US$118 million in repayments to Full Tilt players, to oversee a process for compensating eligible victims who were unable to withdraw their funds after the 2011 crackdown.

Remaining funds from the Full Tilt Claims process will reportedly be used to refund Absolute Poker victims, the statement reads.

Absolute Poker players have until June 9, 2017 to submit a petition for remission.

Past or present employee’s, affiliates, shareholders officer’s or director’s, of Absolute Poker are not eligible for inclusion in the process.
