After many years on the professional poker and broadcasting scene the dapper Tony Dunst (31) has finally claimed a World Series of Poker bracelet and the $339,254 that went with it in the $1,000 buy-in NLHE event this week.
The 2,452 entry field included some tough professional players who ran deep, such as Faraz Jaka, Steven Wolanksy and Joshua Field, but it was Dunst and Jason Rivkin who emerged as the ultimate survivors in a hotly contested 104-hands heads up.
Dunst started with a 2 to 1 chip lead, but Rivkin fought for the bracelet and the cash every second, generating several large pots.
In the end it was Rivkin who busted, claiming a second placing check for his outstanding effort worth $209,596.
