Uk online and live tournament poker pro Stephen Chidwick has won the $25,500 buy-in PokerStars Championship Panama Single-Day High Roller competition, besting a a field of 33 talented players who, with re-entries, boosted the total registration list to 44 and generated a prize pool of $1,078.000.

The field included respected names like Adrian Mateos, Sergio Aido, Sergi Reixach, Steve O’Dwyer, Isaac Haxton, Jason Koon, Erik Seidel (who was the bubble boy in this game) and Ben Tollerene.

The format included a pressure-building 30-second shot clock, but the contest still took 12 hours to play down to a winner after Chidwick dispatched runner-up Koray Aldemir of Germany, who took home $253,340.

Chidwick had already banked a total of $430,000 earlier this year by finishing fifth and seventh in the $25,000 and $50,000 buy-in High Roller competitions at Pokerstars Bahamas.

Other final table cashes included:

Mustapha Kanit $161,700
Oliver Weis $123,980
Dario Sammartino $97,020
Timothy Adams $75,460
