Online poker operator Winamax’s rights infringement action against Playtech’s Twister product have been dismissed by le tribunal de commerce de Paris.
Winamax brought the action against Playtech saying it believed that Playtech’s Twister jackpot sit ‘n go (SNG) product infringed the rights of its own Expresso product.
The court dismissed Winamax’s claim saying there is a clear definition between the two products and although they share similar features those are not in themselves new and are included in other forms of games.
