Social gaming giant Zynga has announced that it will be taking its multi-year partnership deal with poker tournament series, the World Poker Tour, into the digital realm of Zynga Poker.
Beginning Monday, players can experience the authentic tournament style play that the World Poker Tour is known for in the competitive virtual world of Zynga Poker, marking the game’s largest ever in-game partnership with additional competitive modes in future quarters.
“Our Zynga Poker players are an extremely passionate group who aspire to feel like true poker champions,” said Bernard Kim, president of publishing. “Our World Poker Tour-themed tournaments enhance our free-to-play Zynga Poker social casino experience and bring the most premier name in the sport of poker directly into the player’s hands.”
Features of the World Poker Tour tournaments in Zynga Poker include a wider range of stakes with more opportunities to win virtual chips, and faster 9 or 5 player table tourneys.
