Pokerhost on the move...again!

03/09/2010

Fans on SBG Global's online poker site Pokerhost.com are probably quite expert at uninstalling and installing Internet poker software by now - the site is about to make its third move to a new network.

Online since 2005, PokerHost has been offering online poker games, casino games for the past 4 years, and was initially with the Microgaming Poker Network.

Just on a year ago the site switched to the Cake Poker Network, and has now advised that it is to join the US-friendly Merge Poker Network. Reasons for the move are not known.

It is expected that all players will be transferred over to the Merge Gaming platform by the second week of March, says Anthony Taylor, CEO of Merge, who added: "We are delighted to have come to an agreement with the ownership of PokerHost.com. This deal will bring even more liquidity to the network and add continued growth to our network.

A spokesperson for PokerHost.com commented: "We have promised our players year round action as well as a diverse poker experience opened for worldwide poker players, so to keep our promise we have found a new home."
