Isidur1 on a roll

The still unidentified Swedish high stakes online poker player Isildur1 has had the satisfaction of another successful session against his favourite targets Cole South and Brian Hastings on the Full Tilt nosebleed tables.

In his latest confrontations with the two Cardrunner pros who caused him so much grief last year, the Swede first took on South on the $200/$400 POL virtual tables, taking him for $241 000 over 1 114 hands, according to MarketPulse reports. South then went heads up with the Swedish player on the $300/$600 tables but was again beaten to the tune of $402 000 over 566 hands.

Hastings then appeared on the scene, wrestling with Isildur1 for 811 hands of $300/$600 PLO, where the Swede was again triumphant, taking a quarter-of-a-million dollars off Hastings.

In typically high stakes style, Hastings then challenged Isildur1 to take it up a few gears to $500/$1 000 PLO, a suggestion which the Swedish ace was quick to accept. Over the next 1 356 hands it proved to be an expensive escalation for Hastings, who went down another $581 954 before retiring from the session.

Justin Bonomo was next in Isildur1's sights, and proved to be a tough opponent over the next two-and-a-half-hours and 2 386 hands. But the result was another victory for Isildur1, this time boosting his winnings by $101 000.

The mysterious Swedish player was still not done, and lost $31 000 on the $200/$400 PLO tables before moving to Cap-PLO in the same range, where he picked up another $154 000.

At this point the prudent player would perhaps have acknowledged that he had had a remarkable session and should call it a day, but Isildur1 stayed on to play some $100/$200 PLO, losing another $30 000....and then taking on Cole South once more, this time on the $500/$1 000 PLO tables.

Inevitably, the good cards run was over for Isildur1, and South recovered $354 000 over a mere 133 hands from the Swede.

Despite ending a remarkable session with a significant defeat, Isildur1 will have been pleased with his overall performance, which netted him over $1.5 million in profit to boost the $573 000 from his previous session this week (see previous InfoPowa report).
