Advice for a million

Advice for a million

05/23/2008

The million member Poker Players Alliance and poker superstar Daniel Negreanu combined this week to announce a new member service - professional poker tips from the master himself.

Negreanu is to write a weekly poker coaching column that will be sent on a regular basis to those PPA members who sign on for the material.

Applauding Negreanu's involvement in the project, PPA chairman Alphonse D'Amato said: "Daniel is one of the best-known personalities in the game of poker. We're delighted he has agreed to work with us. With his support, we're confident that we can grow our organization and assist poker players who want to keep this great American game of skill available to all."

Nicknamed "Kid Poker" the young poker ace is well qualified to offer tips and advice. Originally from Canada and now based in Las Vegas, he is respected internationally as a talented and knowledgable poker pro who has amassed winnings of more than $10 million in his career. He won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 1998 and has added two more examples of the coveted jewellery since then, playing in competitions around the world and appearing regularly in televised final tables.

The PPA has whetted the appetite of its members with a preview of just some of the subjects that the weekly Negreanu columns will cover, which include Smart Pre-Flop Raises, Reading Tells Early, Kamikaze All-In Plays, Playing the Dubious K-Q and Exploiting Weak-Tight Players.

The PPA's Washington-based Executive Director, John Pappas, says that members can sign up for the columns online at the Alliance's website. "Simply opt-in and Daniel's always insightful and often humorous poker advice will be delivered by e-mail every week," he said.
