Sky Poker launching two new shows

The multi-platform online poker firm Sky Poker is launching two new TV shows, "Stacked Up" and "Sky Poker Unlimited" for UK pokerheads soon.

Stacked Up focuses on the art of playing cash poker and will introduce the stars of the game to the nation. It's a weekly show that will see teams of three players compete in online cash poker games, with all the action being screened on Sky Poker Channel 846. Teams will be made up of expert poker players and Sky Poker analysts as well as novice players, and win by increasing their bankroll by a larger percentage than the other teams.

“As the first TV show focused entirely on cash games Stacked Up will be a revolution in interactive TV poker programming,” said Pete Ward, Head of Channels for Sky Poker & Sky Bingo. The show will be fast paced and split into two 50 minute sessions. The first shows will be hosted by Tony ‘Tikay’ Kendall and Norman Pace but the other familiar faces from Sky Poker will also host the show going forward, with screenings every Tuesday at 8.00 pm GMT on Sky Poker Channel 846.

Sky Poker Unlimited will also air on Channel 846 and tours the virtual world of SkyPoker.com, bringing in-depth analysis from the Sky Poker team on all the major events, games and tournaments in the Sky Poker lobby, including Multi-Table Tournaments, Cash Tables, Sit N' Go's and Satellite Tournaments.

“With so much action happening at Sky Poker it is easy to miss the most exciting moments from the various tournaments,” Ward said. “Sky Poker Unlimited is hosted by the regular Sky Poker personalities and features the best from all of our tournaments, including The Open, Velolcity and The Five 0.”

Sky Poker is a multiplatform poker room that can be played or viewed both online and through Sky’s set top box. The only televised dedicated poker channel programming and broadcasting 24 hours a day in the UK.
