APT Macau prize-pool hiked
The Asian Poker Tour has followed a successful APT Milan tournament with the news that it is to boost the guarantee on the prize-pool for its next outing in Macau to $1.5 million. The hike in the guarantee will ensure that the winner's prize for the Macau event will be around half a million dollars - almost double that of the recent Manila tourney.
The APT Macau is planned for August 26 through 31 at the StarWorld Hotel and Casino.APT Manila attracted an entry field of 316 players, among them internationally respected aces such as Evelyn Ng, Huck Seed, Mansour Matloubi, Nam Le, Quinn Do, Chip Jett and Steve Sung. The Australian player David Saab took the title, the respect and the main prize of $280 000 after a heads up with Korean pro Chris Roh following a final table that featured players from Sweden, Korea, Australia, Japan, the Philippines and Italy.
